C1+ work with USB switch?

Unread post by bjamodroid03 » Sat Feb 10, 2018 10:17 am

I have a USB switch switching a keyboard and mouse between several computers.
The C1+ keyboard and mouse input become unresponsive after 1 switch.
Is the USB port on the C1+ not hot swappable?

There are issues with it, attach it to OTG if possible.

Is there any fix to this issue? Like the OP I have several computers I control from a single keyboard, mouse, monitor. The Odroid runs fine with everything plugged in, but switching the USB connections and the Odroid will not reconnect, switching the monitor and it will often lock up completely. I'd like to set this up and let it run unattended, but it does not seem tolerant to moving peripherals around.

I too (and others as well) have noticed that the c1 tends to crash on usb removal (shortly after). There doesn't seem to be a fix in the current 3.10 kernel :(

I have had no trouble switching my C1, both HDMI & USB mouse & keyboard.

The HDMI is switched by a Monoprice HD-411E3 4-port switcher.
The USB is switched by a generic 4-port VGA-USB (keyboard & mouse ) switch.
The USB is via the OTG port.
The keyboard is hardwired Dell. The mouse is a Logitech wireless with adapter plugged into the KVM switch.

Current version:
Linux version 3.10.107-190 (root@1604_builder_armhf) (gcc version 5.4.1 20160904 (Ubuntu/Linaro 5.4.1-2ubuntu1~16.04) ) #1 SMP PREEMPT Mon Sep 4 20:41:37 UTC 2017

Hope this helps.
