Bootini Error

Unread postby ErebosM » Tue Jul 11, 2017 7:26 pm

Hi guys,

Once again it's me. I'm having an error when installing bootini (last command in step 8 here: http://odroid.com/dokuwiki/doku.php?id= ... tu_minimal).
This error is very strange, since I created the image a few times in the last 2-3 weeks and it worked perfectly until this happened a day ago..

This is the error ouput:

Hi you need to install following package.
For boot.ini issue.
Code: Select all
sudo apt-get install dialog

To remove unwanted packages you need to run.
Code: Select all
sudo apt-get autoremove

I got the same error during apt upgrade. But I made a mistake - I rebooted my device. Now it's unbootable. Is it possible to repair OS?

Hi guys.

@moon.linux: Thanks for your answer. I will test it right now and check if it works. Can you tell me though, how this error happens? When I ran the script before yesterday, it just worked perfectly. The error just occurred yesterday...

@vancroy: Why is it a mistake to reboot the device? Or did you shut it down when "apt-get upgrade" was running?

@moon.linux: There are always a lot of errors and warnings when creating these images for Odroid, but it works!
Thanks a lot.

What does this resolve exactly and what does it do? Especially, as asked above, why did the error never happen before, when doing the exact same?

No. After. I had to fix problen when device was up. Now it's unbootable. I tried to watch boot files placed on boot partition but I don't know what I have to fix.

Can you tell me what files are on the boot partition ?
I'll provide you the files to fix it...

Meanwhile I've just fixed that issue.
So newer upgrades won't have this.
