We are evaluating an affordable USB GPS on Android as well as Ubuntu now.
Implementation will be done by end of next week and post the result here.
Stay tuned!

Re: GPS unit for odroid c1
I just came across the adafruit ultimate GPS hat for the RPi.
Looking at the mounting wholes it might work?!
Are RPi hats physically compatible with C1?

It should work.
But you need to change the UART node name to ttyS2 from ttyAMA0.

Great! The C1 is getting more awesome by the day
Also there's the non-hat GPS version from Adafruit which will certainly work.
An USB version from HK is a welcomed addition and might be easier and more versatile to integrate...
So many project ideas and so little time

I have used many GPS modules and this one has beaten all of them.
Super tiny and only costs $20.

Just to see how small this is. It's the GPS unit with the antenna!
Here is a board I made for it.
