What do you want to do with C1+?

Please read this manual first.

@odroid: Hmm, I got a new topic notification for "New XU4 Kernel 4.9 Ubuntu Image for public release" and got redirected here instead. Did you split and create a new topic and it somehow kept the old id?

Sorry. I didn't know the negative side effect of the splitting. :(
I will check the topic ID.

@vanathi: In order to get helpful responses provide more information. What software, what have you tried already, what are the error messages. Generally you'd use sudo apt-get install application, or you can compile it from source with ./configure; make; sudo make install

What home automation software are you using? You will need to install a supported linux image for C2 (either HK's Ubuntu image, or a Debian image, or some other image for C2), and install your home automation on top of it.

You should be able to install it with
Code: Select all
Raspberry Pi/Ubuntu installation: 'sudo curl -L install.domoticz.com | bash'

I haven't used it, but I'm playing with Home Assistant and I like it a lot: https://home-assistant.io/

I'm working on a howto. It's not ready yet, but basically you should follow the instructions for rpi:
Code: Select all
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
$ sudo apt-get install python-pip python3-dev
$ sudo pip install --upgrade virtualenv
$ sudo adduser --system homeassistant
$ sudo addgroup homeassistant
$ sudo usermod -G dialout -a homeassistant
$ sudo mkdir /srv/homeassistant
$ sudo chown homeassistant:homeassistant /srv/homeassistant
$ sudo su -s /bin/bash homeassistant
$ virtualenv -p python3 /srv/homeassistant
$ source /srv/homeassistant/bin/activate
(homeassistant)$ pip3 install --upgrade homeassistant
$ exit

In order to start and manage the process, it's best to create a systemd service to handle it:
Code: Select all
$ sudo vi /etc/systemd/system/homeassistant.service
[Unit]
Description=Home Assistant
After=network.target time-sync.target
Requires=time-sync.target

[Service]
Type=simple
User=%i
ExecStart=/srv/homeassistant/bin/hass -c "/home/homeassistant/.homeassistant"

[Install]
WantedBy=multi-user.target

In order to start Home Assistant, simply start it's service:
Code: Select all
$ sudo service homeassistant start
$ sudo service homeassistant enable

The official hardkernel linux image comes with python support.

It's not easy, but yes, you can. You'll need to install a linux installer in android and do the rest of the installation there.
Try something like this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... roid&hl=en
But I'm not sure how you would start up the app on boot.
