Hi!

Is there any chance that the HDMI output will support 1366x768 resolution at some time?

Thanks! The XU4 is superb BTW:-)

Dear Hardkernel Team!

I would like to ask a few question about your new SBC (the XU4). First of all what is the maximum speed of the microSD interface? I do not want to use eMMC module and there are microSD cards in the market now what have 90/95 MB write/read speed, does this device support that high speeds over microSD slot? And what is the maximum speed for the Ethernet adapter?

Have a nice day:

@mesand

Basically all your answers are on their product page: http://www.hardkernel.com/main/products ... 3452239825

The sd card slot supports UHS-1. Just use google/wiki. On a sidenote: Those 90/95 are more likely "burst"/"Max" values and only a 10MB/s guaranteed.
Also sdcards are not rated for the excess use as a filesystem.
But you can also use a fast ubs3 stick or USB3 HDD/SSD and besides the boot partition have your root filesystem there. Thats what i did because i didnt want / couldnt get a emmc module.
The emmc speeds are also on the page above.

About ethernet, its gibit rated, so 1000MBit or ~100Mbyte/s. Its pretty close tho the specs. Also check the link above, you can see a file transfer over ethernet.

I gues they used a usb3 hdd with ext filesystem and samba (ntfs will add more cpu load) to copy to another network pc.

Thanks for the update about how to get the LCD to work.

Enabling/configureing the LCD works. I can now get information to the LCD when i unplug the HDMI cable. If the HDMI cable is connected, the LCD turns on - but without any info on it.

I can't get the rest to work though. I tried to follow the Quick setup and then the example program to show server information on the LCD. Nothings showing up on the LCD. I tried to downgrade Ubuntu 15.04 to 14.04. Still an empty LCD.

Some help would be appreciated, all i want is to get the example program to run. A'm I the only one struggling? or did anybody actually get it to run?

Does anyone know where there is a copy of these instruction, the link does work for me. Thanks in advance.

The I/O tests for USB 3-> SATA Bridge for an SSD are ~ 80MBps (read) and 70MBps (write) ... that is approximately only 0.6 Gbps or about Sata I speed. Did I misinterpret these results? As a comparison -- with an admittedly more expensive board -- with the Jetson TK1 I get about 1.5 Gbps ~ Sata II speed.

Correct?

Correct?

Could you specify the commands what you've tested? And let us know the SSD model as well as the result of "lsusb -t" command. In addition, could you show the result of "hdparam -tT"?

I have a question about the performance compare to the Rockchip's RK3288 which has newer Cortex-A17 quad core.
I have another board based on the RK3288 but it has no USB 3.0 port. So I want to buy the xu4.

Can you guys run the Octane benchmark with the latest Chromium to show me the performance?
My Rk3288 board brought around 6200~6400 of Octane score.

Another interesting reference is my Samsung Galaxy-S6 Exynos-7420 based 64bit smartphone.
It shows about 6100~6300 Octane score.

My board gets 8300+ on the octane benchmark test =)

ODROID-XU4 Android interfacing Xbee S2

Unread postby innovatorjack » Mon Oct 12, 2015 6:33 pm

Hi all,
I bought Odroid XU4 with Android OS. I am looking for interfacing XBEE S2 with it and perform a text chat with 3 modules having a middle one as intermediate. I am not able to configure XCTU with it.
Kindly provide me a solution to get it done.
Thanks.
