I just received my C1 yesterday
. This is not my first devboard as I already use an XU Lite and a U3 at work. But, this one is for my
I'm sure the C1 will be a wonderful media player and I plan to let the default image on it (Ubuntu + XBMC). But, additionally to this role, I would like to develop a webapp which will play the role of a small "Jarvis", from those who know Iron Man (who doesn't ?!). The development part is not a problem at all. The speech (audio input) will come from many different devices, all using Google JS API (Chrome / Chromium only, on PCs, Macs and Smartphones), and I'll do the parsing job to execute different tasks. The point is
: as the C1 will also be a media player, I would like to be able to give him "instructions" (speeches) when I'm close to it, without having to bring out my smartphone/tablet. That's where I get into troubles: if I use this AUDIO USB module
, I will be able to use a microphone. My question is
: is this the only module compatible with the C1? Is Ubuntu using a "generic" usb driver or do I need to find a module with a driver which can work on linux/ARM? My concern is about paying three times the price of the module in shipping fees
(From South Korea to Europe)...
Any critics/reading suggestions are welcome regarding what I said above.
